We meet folk on the lawn by Palm Bay Primary School (View of the lawn /cliff's end)

The trek includes learning about local foliage.

We will trek down to Margate Main Sands, where we offer an opportunity to swim and use the sauna.

Each Participant will be allowed to taste local honey and Food made from plants growing in the Kent area; all refreshments will be non-dairy, vegan, and gluten-free.

Join us to enjoy the fresh air, take a break, enjoy yourself, and feel better after 2 hrs of some high-quality time.

Accessibility and Challenge Rating:

This location is suitable for mobility scooter/ powerchair users/ walking frames and provides adjustments for additional needs.

Meet Treks Lead:

Queer nature lover, Phoebe Apollo, tuning into slow joy at one of Margate's best nature spots. Together, we'll get to know the meadow grassland at Foreness Point, Cliftonville's very own designated Local Wildlife Site, where we'll learn about the rare bees and wildflowers that can be found here. This will be an intentional space of community care and connection where we'll learn from each other and let nature nourish and sustain us as we continue to fight for collective freedom.

Highlights and Facilities:

♿ Mobility scooter friendly; going across grass may require assistance from one of our support walkers.

🔊 Equipment and support can be provided for Visual or Hearing impairments (please let us know beforehand).

⏰ 2 miles, 1.5 hours duration, but feel free to leave when & if you need to.

🐕‍🦺 Support dogs and well-behaved dogs (and their owners) are welcome (please notify the host if participants may be afraid of dogs in advance).
